wayv, also known as we are your vision or weishen v are a cpop group under sm entertainment's chinese label, label v.
wayv debuted on january seventeenth 2019, with their digital ep, the vision and their lead single, a chinese version of nct 127's regular. on january twenty-fourth, wayv released a mv for one of their b-side's, dream launch.

on may ninth, wayv released their first physical ep, take off, with a lead single of the same name.
in august and september wayv released their first reality tv show, wayv dream plan.

on october twenty-ninth, wayv released their second ep, titled take over the moon with the title track, moonwalk. take over the moon debuted first on the itunes world albums chart and is the only chinese group with more than one album that reached has first. on november fifth, wayv released a mv for the english version of their song, love talk.

at the twenty-first mnet asian music awards on december fourth, wayv won the award for best new asian artist: china and preformed take off and moonwalk.
on may third, 2020 due to the coronavirus outbreak, wayv as well as labelmates nct 127, nct dream and superm all had online concerts on their vlive channels in the following weeks. during this concert they performed bad alive, a track in their upcoming full album.

this album would be titled awaken the world and would be wayv's first full album. it was released on june 9, 2020 with the lead single, turn back time. this album featured songs with lyrics by wayv members yangyang and hendery. a week later wayv released a korean version of turn back time as a single.
